Sigh

Posted on August 4th, 2008

Ok so I have meant to update this thing for weeks, and now I’m knee deep in packing an prep for my trip to Terminus. Kelly, Tom and I will get to Chicago on Wednesday, in time for the Wizard Rock thingie. I’m excited.

But yes, I’m still alive. Still crafting. Still crazy. Everyone’s happy and healthy. I shall try to do a better job of updating once I’m home, school starts for the kids, and we’re on some semblance of a schedule.

Love y’all.

Another Borg post is up (CLICK) but because I really don’t want to neglect this blog because I’m doing stuff over there too, I’ll share photos with you here. The hive only got video, peh!

Well actually first, I must mention that the Leaky Cauldron July Craft-Along (CLICK) opened today. Please go there and craft along with us! I’m hoping to get my supplementary video walkthrough up sooooon.

I made a needlebook the other day. I wanted to see if I could do it. I’m very pleased with it.

I also finished a gift for a really cool kid who’s special to me and happens to like Harry Potter.

I used block patterns by Jennifer / Ofenjen.

Also, I thought I’d share a cute drawing Jamie made. Her skills are getting much more refined. (It used to be all big-headed birds, all the time.)

Starting today I will periodically have posts that are password protected. I’m divulging some things about my health and weight loss that I’d rather not have completely open to the public. If you would like the password, please ask by emailing me or posting a comment with your email address in it. Thanks!

Rollo Pretzel Things

Posted on June 5th, 2008

I’m eating the yummiest things right now, so I thought I’d share. Mom-in-law made them at Christmas and then we made some this morning before they left. Super easy, although NOT healthy. So, indulge at your own risk. (These are SO not helping the weight problem thing.) Enjoy

Rollo Pretzel Things (Who knows what they’re called?)
Rollo Pretzel thingies

You’ll need:
Mini pretzels (Essential for catching the melted stuff)
Rollo candies
Pecans (Or anything else yummy that you can put on top and squish the Rollos down with)

Heat oven to 250 degrees. Lay pretzels down on baking sheet (Parchment paper is helpful here, to avoid a mess.) Put a Rollo candy on top of each pretzel. Heat them in oven for 3-5 minutes (Til they’re squishable.)
Remove from oven and while they’re still hot, push a pecan half down on top of each of the candies. Let cool. Nom nom nom.
